Elu président du Syndicat Mixte du pays de la Déodatie, en 2008, j'ai immédiatement souhaité que notre territoire s'engage concrétement dans des actions pour la forêt et la filière bois. C'est, en effet, un de nos atots majeurs que ce soit en termes de développement économique, touristique, environnement... J'avais alors invité Jean-Claude MONIN, président de la fédération Nationale des Communes Forestières pour présenter l'intérêt des chartes forestières de territoire. En 2010, nous avons lancé une charte forestière de territoire : après un diagnostic de l'existant que nous avons confié au CRPF et à l'ONF, une programme d'actions a été validé en 2012/2013 après discussions avec tous les partenaires : que ce soit le conseil de développement du pays mais aussi tous les acteurs de la filière : propriétaires, entrepreneurs, associations,...
Comme les communes forestières représentent les plus grosses surfaces de forêts, il était donc logique d'engager un partenariat avec l'Union Régionale des Communes Forestières de Lorraine. C'est chose faite avec la convention de partenariat signée le 30 août avec Jean-Marie Haraux, président régional. De même, dans chacune des 93 communes qui composent le pays de la déodatie, un référent communal charte forestière est désigné par le conseil municipal pour suivre ces actions.
Dores et déjà, des actions ont été présentées aux élus :
- "plus d'arbres, plus de vie" est une action nationale relayée sur le pays de la déodatie, en direction des scolaires pour replanter des arbres avec le soutien de France Bois Forêt
- "arbres remarquables en Déodatie" : à partir de l'initiative d'Yves bastien sur la vallée de la Vologne et d travail de recensement de l'ONF, un recueil des arbres les plus remarquables sera réalisé (et revivifier ainsi le vieux projet de "route du bois" resté sans lendemain)
- "j'adopte une ruche en Déodatie" : afin de créer un partenariat entre les communes (propriétaires de parcelles forestières), l'ONF (gestionnaire), les apiculteurs (mettant en place des ruches) et des citoyens qui parraineront l'opération.
D'autres actions verront le jour. Notamment un classeur des initiatives et meilleures pratiques sera réalisé pour les communes.
Déjà, du 24 au 27 septembre à Xonrupt-Longemer, en partenariat avec la Région Lorraine, le pays de la déodatie organise les "rencontres européennes de la Forêt". ce colloque qui accueillera des délégations du Luxembourg, de Finlande et de Suède notamment, permettra d'échanger sur les différentes pratiques européennes en matière forestière et de faire découvrir par des visites notre territoire. le programme est ici : http://www.deodatie.com/depot_fichiers/redacdeo2/UserFiles/File/Programme_Journees_Foret_FR.pdf
